How Plasma Fibroblast removal works

  • A handheld device ionises the air just above the skin to create a micro plasma arc.

  • The arc cauterises and dehydrates the skin tag (and stalk) with pinpoint accuracy, sealing tiny vessels and reducing bleeding.

  • The tag typically darkens and crusts, then detaches as the micro-scab lifts during healing.

  • The surrounding skin begins a controlled healing response, supporting smoother texture over the following weeks.

 

Session time: usually 10–30 minutes depending on number/size of tags.

What to expect

Before

  • Consultation & skin check to confirm the lesion is a typical benign skin tag.

  • Photos for your confidential record.

  • Avoid tanning/sunbeds and active skincare acids/retinoids on the area for 5–7 days.

  • Tell us if you’re on anticoagulants, have diabetes, keloid tendency, or cold sore history (for perioral tags).

During

  • The area is cleansed and, where appropriate, numbed (topical anaesthetic).

  • We apply tiny, controlled plasma dots to the tag/stalk until it is fully treated.

  • You’ll feel brief warmth/tingling; most clients find it very tolerable.

After

  • Expect a small brown micro-scab where the tag was; do not pick.

  • Mild redness/tenderness can occur for 24–72 hours.

  • You can usually return to normal activities immediately (avoid friction, heavy sweating, and make-up on the site for 48–72 hours).

  • SPF 50 daily over exposed areas for 8+ weeks to minimise pigment changes.

FAQs 

1) Will the skin tag fall off straight away?
Often the tag shrivels and crusts during treatment. It may detach the same day or over 5–10 days as the micro-scab lifts—both are normal.

2) Will it leave a scar?
Most sites heal to a flat pink mark that blends over 2–8 weeks. A tiny residual mark is possible. Not picking and using SPF 50 greatly improves the cosmetic outcome.

3) Does it hurt?
Discomfort is minimal. We usually use topical anaesthetic, and the sensation is brief heat/tingling at each point.

4) Can you treat near my eyes or in the groin?
Yes—with care. We regularly treat eyelids (away from lashes) and groin/inner thigh tags. We’ll confirm suitability and aftercare to reduce friction/irritation.

5) Will the tag come back?
