Your perfect lashes, customised to you

At The Aesthetics & Beauty Lounge in Driffield, we design lash looks that suit your eye shape, natural lash health and lifestyle—from barely-there Classics to red-carpet Mega Volume, plus Lash Lifts for a mascara-free curl. Every set is mapped and styled for soft, flattering definition, serving clients across Driffield, Beverley, Bridlington, Hull and East Yorkshire.

What each treatment is (how it works, the look, and who it’s for)

Classics (1:1 application)

How it works: One synthetic lash is applied to one natural lash.
Look: Clean, mascara-like definition.
Great for: First-timers, professional daytime wear.
Appointment: 1.5–2 hrs · Longevity: 4–6 weeks with infills every 2–3 weeks.
Pros: Natural, lightweight, easy to maintain.
Considerations: Not the most dramatic option if lashes are sparse.

Hybrids (Classic + Volume mix)

How it works: A blend of single lashes and hand-made volume fans.
Look: Textured, fuller than Classics, softer than full Volume.
Great for: Gaps or mild sparseness; versatile day-to-night.
Appointment: 2–2.5 hrs · Infills: 2–3 weeks.
Pros: Customisable density and texture.
Considerations: Slightly more aftercare than Classics.

Wispy (textured, spiked mapping)

How it works: Alternating lengths and delicate spikes (think “Kim K” styling).
Look: Feathery, airy, editorial.
Great for: Clients who like visible texture and lift.
Appointment: 2–2.5 hrs · Infills: 2–3 weeks.
Pros: Eye-opening, fashion-forward.
Considerations: Not as uniform as Volume—intentionally “undone”.

Volume (2–5D fans)

How it works: Ultra-fine fibres are fanned and applied to one natural lash.
Look: Fluffy density with soft edges.
Great for: Finer natural lashes needing fullness.
Appointment: 2–3 hrs · Infills: 2–3 weeks.
Pros: Full look without heavy weight (0.03–0.07 mm fibres).
Considerations: Requires gentle daily cleansing to keep fans open.

Mega Volume (6–20D micro-fans)

How it works: Very light-diameter fibres (typically 0.03 mm) in large fans.
Look: Maximum depth and drama with a dark lash line.
Great for: Glam lovers, events, photoshoots.
Appointment: 2.5–3+ hrs · Infills: 2–3 weeks.
Pros: High impact with feather-light fibres.
Considerations: Most upkeep; not ideal if your routine is very active/steamy.

Wet Look

How it works: Narrow, glossy “spikes” using closed fans or Classics in a specific mapping.
Look: Sleek, “fresh-from-the-sea” shine with defined tips.
Great for: Trend-led clients wanting something sharper than

Wispy.
Appointment: 2–2.5 hrs · Infills: 2–3 weeks.
Pros: Modern, edgy finish.
Considerations: Requires careful brushing to keep spikes neat.

Infills (maintenance)

What it is: We remove outgrown extensions, cleanse, and replace shed lashes to original fullness.
Timing: Every 2–3 weeks; arrive with at least 40–50% of extensions remaining.

Why: Natural lashes shed in cycles (approx. 60–90 days). Infills keep your set balanced and comfortable.

Lash Lift (with optional Tint)

How it works: A gentle, two-step solution lifts and sets your natural lashes on a silicone shield; tint can deepen the colour.
Look: Natural curl and separation—no extensions.
Great for: Low-maintenance routine, straight/downward lashes, gym/swimmers.
Appointment: 45–60 mins · Longevity: 6–8 weeks.
Pros: No extensions; minimal upkeep; great with mascara after 24–48 hrs.

Considerations: Not a volume boost; relies on your natural lash length/thickness.

What to expect at your appointment

  1. Consultation & styling map – eye/face analysis, lifestyle, desired finish.

  2. Patch testing – required 48 hours before your first tint/lift/adhesive service.

  3. Application – eyes closed; we isolate each lash and apply using professional, medical-grade adhesive.

  4. Aftercare – we’ll show you how to cleanse, brush and protect your set.

Appointment comfort: You’ll lie back with eyes closed; many clients nap. We use premium PBT fibres and sensitive-skin gel pads (latex/formaldehyde-free products available—please mention allergies at booking).

Aftercare (extensions & lifts)

  • First 24 hrs: keep lashes dry; avoid steam/sauna, heavy workouts.

  • Daily: cleanse with oil-free lash shampoo, rinse, pat dry, brush gently.

  • Avoid: oil-based skincare on the eye area, waterproof mascara/liners on extensions, picking/rubbing, sleeping face-down.

  • Protection: SPF around eyes (not on extensions), silk pillowcase, regular infills or 6–8 weekly lifts.

Benefits of professional lash services

  • Bespoke styling to enhance your eye shape

  • Time-saving mornings—little to no mascara

  • Water/sweat-resistant after curing

  • Options for subtle to dramatic looks

  • Patch testing & hygiene protocols for safety

Considerations & possible side effects

  • Maintenance: extensions need 2–3-weekly infills; lifts last 6–8 weeks.

  • Sensitivity: rare irritation to adhesive/tint—hence mandatory patch test.

  • Lifestyle: heavy steam, oil products and rubbing shorten wear time.

  • Natural lash health: when applied and cared for correctly, extensions do not damage natural lashes; poor aftercare or picking can.

  • Not suitable with active eye infections, recent eye surgery, severe blepharitis, or certain allergies (assessed case-by-case).

FAQs

1) Which set should I choose—Classic, Hybrid, Volume, Mega, Wispy or Wet?
We’ll assess your natural lashes and goals. As a guide: Classic for natural; Hybrid for texture; Volume for fullness; Mega for maximum drama; Wispy/Wet for fashion-forward texture or sleek spikes.

2) How long do lash extensions last?
A full set can look good 4–6 weeks with infills every 2–3 weeks to replace natural shed and keep styling balanced.

3) Will extensions damage my natural lashes?
Not when correctly applied and cared for. We match lengths/diameters to your lash strength and teach you gentle cleansing and brushing.

4) Can I wear mascara or eyeliner?
Avoid waterproof or oil-based formulas on extensions. If you must, use water-based mascara on Classic sets only (never on Volume/Mega), and cleanse thoroughly that night.

5) What’s the difference between a Lash Lift and extensions?
Lift: your own lashes, curled for 6–8 weeks, zero infills.
Extensions: synthetic fibres for added length/fullness; need regular infills.

6) Do I need a patch test?
Yes—48 hours before your first tint, lift or adhesive service (and periodically thereafter) to minimise sensitivity risk.
