Treatment overview (how each works, what to expect, pros & cons)

1) Brow Lamination (with optional Tint & Shape)

What it is: A gentle, two-step “brow realignment” that redirects and sets your natural hairs into a fuller, lifted shape. Finished with tint (optional) and a tidy wax/tweeze.
Great for: Thin/patchy brows, downward growth, unruly hairs, a “fluffy” laminated look.

Appointment: 45–60 mins
Longevity: ~6–8 weeks (tint ~3–4 weeks)
Patch test: Required 48 hrs before (for tint/solutions)

What happens:

  1. Consultation, shade & style mapping.

  2. Lamination solutions soften then set hair direction.

  3. Optional tint to enhance colour; wax/tweeze to refine.

  4. Nourishing keratin/conditioner to re-hydrate hairs.

Aftercare: Keep brows dry & product-free for 24 hrs; avoid steam/sauna for 48 hrs; brush into place daily; apply conditioning serum.

Pros: Instant fullness; uses your own hair; low downtime; custom finish (natural to bold).
Considerations: Not permanent; over-processing can dry hairs (we condition and time precisely); temporary skin sensitivity possible. Not suitable with active eczema/psoriasis on the area or if severely sensitive to tint/solutions.

2) Brow Tint & Wax (Classic Definition)

What it is: Semi-permanent tint darkens hairs for uniform colour; warm wax shapes the outline; tweezing/trim to perfect.
Great for: Fast, clean definition; lighter brows; maintenance between larger treatments.

Appointment: 20–30 mins
Longevity: Tint 3–4 weeks; shape 3–5 weeks
Patch test: Required 48 hrs before tint

Aftercare: Keep area clean & dry for 12–24 hrs; avoid retinoids/acid exfoliants and sunbeds for 24 hrs; SPF daily.

Pros: Quick, affordable, minimal downtime; suits most hair colours.
Considerations: Temporary redness; rare allergy to tint/wax; faster fade with sun/chlorine/oil cleansers. Avoid if using strong retinoids, isotretinoin, or with very recent in-clinic peels on the area.

3) Microblading (Semi-Permanent Hairstrokes)

What it is: Manual micro-tattooing of fine hairstrokes into the upper dermis to recreate natural brow hair where it’s sparse/uneven.
Great for: Gaps, over-plucking, asymmetric brows, long-lasting definition with a natural hair-stroke look.

Appointment: Initial 1–1.5 hrs (consult, mapping, numbing, treatment) + perfecting session at 6–8 weeks (60–90 mins)
Longevity: ~12–24 months before colour boost (oily skin may fade quicker)
Patch test: Required

What happens:

  1. Detailed consultation, face-mapping & brow design.

  2. Topical anaesthetic for comfort.

  3. Microbladed strokes placed with medical-grade pigments to suit your undertone.

Healing & aftercare:

  • Days 1–7: colour looks bold then softens; keep area dry, no make-up/sweat/steam; gentle balm if advised.

  • Days 7–14: flaking/peeling—do not pick.

  • Weeks 4–6: colour settles 20–40% lighter; perfecting session refines symmetry and density.

  • Long-term: SPF 30–50 daily to reduce fading.

Pros: Wake-up-and-go brows; fills gaps where hair won’t grow; highly customisable.
Considerations: Semi-permanent (will fade and need a boost); short healing phase; rare pigment/skin reactions; not suitable if pregnant/breastfeeding, with keloid tendency, uncontrolled diabetes, blood-thinners (case-by-case), or active dermatitis on the brow.

What to expect at your appointment (all brow services)

  1. Consultation & design: your brow goals, lifestyle, medical history, skin & hair assessment, and patch-testing where needed.

  2. Mapping: we measure and sketch to suit your bone structure and preferences (soft/natural through to bold).

  3. Treatment: performed with hygienic, single-use consumables and premium products.

  4. Aftercare & maintenance plan: personalised guidance, timelines for top-ups, and product tips to protect colour and hair health.

Who gets the best results?

  • You prefer natural-looking enhancement rather than an obvious “stamped” brow.

  • You can follow aftercare (especially for microblading and lamination).

  • You’re happy to maintain: lamination/tint every few weeks, microblading colour boosts every 12–18+ months, regular tidy-ups.

Comparison at a glance

  • Lamination: your natural hairs, brushed & set fuller (6–8 wks).

  • Tint & Wax: quick colour + crisp outline (3–4 wks).

  • Microblading: semi-permanent hair-strokes (12–24 months + top-ups).

FAQs

1) Do I need a patch test?
Yes—tint, lamination solutions and microblading pigments require a patch test 48 hours before your first appointment (and periodically thereafter).

2) Will lamination damage my brows?
Not when performed correctly. We time precisely and finish with conditioning. We’ll also advise a home brow serum to keep hairs healthy.

3) Does microblading hurt?
We use topical anaesthetic and work gently. Most clients feel mild scratching/pressure. Discomfort is brief and manageable.

4) How long will my results last?

  • Tint: ~3–4 weeks

  • Lamination: ~6–8 weeks

  • Microblading: ~12–24 months (then a colour boost)
Lifestyle, sun exposure and skin type affect longevity.

5) Can I combine treatments on the same day?
Often yes—lamination + tint + wax is common. We do not laminate and microblade on the same day; we plan microblading separately to protect skin integrity.

6) Who shouldn’t have these treatments?
Not suitable if you’re pregnant/breastfeeding (for microblading and many tints/solutions), have active skin conditions/infections on the brow, recent strong peels/laser, isotretinoin in the last 6–12 months, keloid scarring, or severe allergies to ingredients. We’ll assess case-by-case.
